2023 LAWN Equipment Exchange Program (LEEP)

Welcome to the 8th annual Imperial County Air Pollution Control District Lawn Equipment Exchange Program.  Help spare the air of ground ozone pollution by trading in your old gas powered lawn and garden equipment and receive a brand new, state of the art battery-powered electric model from EGO 56V Power Plus tools. 

PURCHASING NEW ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT

You must purchase your new equipment HERE ON OUR SITE or via PHONE (1-818-400-2971). Available packages will appear on this page for ordering on March 13 and can be purchased until 3PM on May 5 (while supplies last!). Phone orders must be made between 8 AM and 5 PM Monday – Sunday starting March 13 and until 3PM on May 5th.

Trade-In Rules

All participants must be residents of Imperial County.  Participants must exchange a working gas tool for an electric one. Only one piece of each type/model of equipment will be eligible for exchange per family. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE OLD GAS EQUIPMENT TO TRADE IN BEFORE PURCHASING THE NEW ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT.

NEW THIS YEAR!

Drop-off old equipment and pick up new equipment ON THE SAME DAY! Please bring your old gas equipment on Saturday, May 6, 2023.  Equipment must be received between 8:00 AM to 12 PM. You will then receive the equipment you previously ordered.

4 Easy Steps to Get Your New Equipment:

#1 – Purchase your new equipment on this website, or by phone (1-818-400-2971 between 8AM and 5PM Monday – Sunday), between March 13 and May 5, 2023 and keep the receipt.

#2 – Bring your old gas equipment to SA Recycling Center between 8AM – 12PM on May 6, 2023 and present the receipt.

#3 – Receive your new electric equipment on the same day!

#4 – Register your new equipment with EGO promptly and enjoy!

Hedge trimmers and chain saws are not included in this year’s program.
